The accurate alignment of needle and membrane hydrophones is essential for accurate acoustic measurements so Precision Acoustics has designed mounts suitable for our needle or membrane hydrophones. For customers who only have needle hydrophones the simple L shaped mount is recomended. The membrane hydrophone mount ensures that the active part of the membrane can be accurately aligned with the acoustic field. For customers with both membrane and needle hydrophones we can supply an additional fitting for the membrane hydrophone mount which will ensure that the active elements of both the needle and membranes are positioned in exactly the same place within the acoustic field.
We also offer two transducer mounts, one circular and one multipurpose suitable for diagnostic scanner transducers. In addition we can designed mounts to suit customers transducers. All mounts attach to the users hydrophone positioning system via a 13mm stainless steel rod.
