The UMS3 fully automated scanning system has been specifically designed to automate the repetitive tasks associated with the acquisition, display, storage and computation of data associated with the measurement and mapping of acoustic fields.
Typical Applications:
- Beam profiling
- Location of focal area
- Pressure mapping
- Measurement of acoustic parameters to satisfy the latest regulatory requirements needed for IEC62127-1, NEMA UD3 or FDA 510(k) Track 111 submissions
Unlike our competitors we do not make a standard product. ALL of our test tank systems are customised to suit the users particular measurement situation. The information and pictures will give an indication of what is possible but please contact us with your specific requirements. The UMS3 scanning system has passed the tests for Radiated and Conducted Emmissions and Immunity and is therefore ideal for use in a research enviroment. Precision Acoustics has supplied ultrasound measurements systems to customers around the world. Systems vary in size from the smallest 400mm by 400mm by 400mm to tanks in excess of 2m by 1.5m by1.5m. Most systems are despatched via air. On arrival they are immediately ready for use and are easily commissioned by the end user. Where the system is very large and must be shipped disassembled we will arrange for one of our engineers to attend the users site to commission the unit. | Ultrasound measurements rely on the ability to measure accurately the acoustic field. The UMS3 system has three motorised axes (x,y,z) each capable of a six micron resolution and is supplied complete with electronic controle module, PC with preloaded UMS software The system works with all modern oscilloscopes. Options include an additional " rotational axes positioning device" to facilitate accurate alignment of the transducer's acoustic axis with the hydrophone; water conditioning system; hydrophone and transducer mounts. To simplify purchasing for our clients we can also supply all power amplifiers and function generators. Below shows the second system supplied by Precision Acoustics to the Biomedical Ultrasonics and Biotherapy Laboratory at the University of Oxford . |
More information about the UMS system and software is available on the UMS specification page
